How Does This Calculator Work?

This Calculator uses simple formulas based on the player’s height to determine the appropriate stick length.

Here’s how it works:

The stick length is calculated as a percentage of the player’s total height.

The calculator adjusts this percentage based on whether the user is wearing skates or not.

• Skates On (Chin height): Stick length is approximately 85% of the user’s height.
• Without Skates (Nose height): Stick length is approximately 90% of the user’s height.

These percentages are applied to the user’s height in centimeters (cm).

Formula:

For Skates On:

Stick Length = Height in cm × 0.85

For Without Skates:

Stick Length = Height in cm × 0.90

Conversions To Different Units:

After calculating the stick length in centimeters (cm), the result is converted into different units—feet, inches, and meters.

Meters:

Length in meters = Length in cm / 100

Inches:

Length in inches = Length in cm / 2.54

Feet and Inches:

• The whole feet part is calculated by dividing the inches by 12.
  • The remainder gives the extra inches.

Example 1: “Skates On”

User’s height: 6 feet (72 inches) = 182.88 cm.

Stick length formula:

Stick Length = 182.88 × 0.85 = 155.448 cm

Conversions:

Meters:

155.448 / 100 = 1.55 meters

Inches:

155.448 / 2.54 = 61.2 inches

Feet and Inches:

Feet = 5, Inches remainder = 1.2 inches

Result: 5 feet 1.2 inches, 155.45 cm, 1.55 meters.
